The Oxford Hand and Wrist Course is a highly interactive course designed to foster knowledge and surgical skill in a safe, high fidelity environment. It is aimed at the senior SHO or registrar, in either Plastic Surgery or Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, who would like to gain hands on experience of the core skills of hand surgery.
The course is a collaboration between the Anatomy Department of Oxford University and the clinical department of Hand Surgery at the Oxford University Hospitals; the faculty draws on many of the Consultant Hand Surgeons from the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and the John Radcliffe Hospital.
This two-day course will involve cadaveric dissection with a high faculty-to-delegate ratio allowing realistic learning from the expert faculty, with ample opportunity for delegates to learn and hone their surgical skills, and to obtain first-hand tuition and advice from the extensive faculty of experienced Consultant Hand Surgeons.
